Rare Commands have a small chance of appearing whenever you meld certain Command Skill combinations.
There are 15 Commands Skills in the game that can be considered as Rare Commands, and they are:
- Spark Raid
- Ars Solum
- Ars Arcanum
- Time Splicer
- Magnet Spiral
- Break Time
- Warp
- Firaga Burst
- Raging Storm
- Quake
- Meteor
- Tornado
- Lightning Ray
- Bio Barrage
- Meteor Shower
Some Rare Commands (Type A) have a high meld chance provided you use certain Command Skill combinations, but others (Type B) only have a 20% chance at most of being melded no matter which combination you use.

How To Meld Rare Commands
While melding, there is a small chance that your resulting Command Skill will turn into a Rare Command.
For example, in the image below, we have combined Slot Edge and Quick Blitz via melding, where Blitz is supposed to be the resulting Command Skill:
However, as we can see from the image below, what came out instead was Ars Arcanum.
It is one of the 15 Rare Commands in the game, and only has a 10% chance of appearing if you meld Slot Edge and Quick Blitz together:
Most Rare Commands are among the best Command Skills in the game, so it is definitely worth it to try and meld them if you have the materials (and patience)!
All Rare Commands
Rare Commands can be further categorized into Type A and Type B Rare Commands.
Type A Rare Commands can be melded with a 100% chance by using certain Command Skill combinations:

Type B Rare Commands, on the other hand, don’t have a Command Skill combination that will guarantee a high meld chance and only have a 20% chance of being created at most.

Tips For Melding Rare Commands
The only way to ensure that you’ll get a Rare Command without having to prepare multiple copies of materials is to make a save in a Save Point before you meld:
Once you’re done saving, you can now meld as many times as you want:
Whenever you don’t get your desired Rare Command, you’ll just have to exit the game, re-open it, and then load the previous save you made in the Main Menu:
Some PSP models have a special Soft Reset feature that allows you to reset the game back to its title screen, which can make this process a bit faster.
Some users can do this by holding LB, RB, Select, and Start simultaneously, or holding LB, RB, Select, and Start, then pushing the analog stick upwards—depending on which controller configuration you’re using.
