<\/figure>\n\n\n\nHere is the map of the area. We recommend that you check all the houses in Monstro Town since all of them are important in the game. We have labelled these houses for you to easily follow since several of these places will have quests for you to do on other areas and will have to go back here to get your rewards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mario Start Area<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n\n\n\nThis is the starting location when you enter Monstro Town from Belome Temple. The trampoline let’s you go back to the Boss room in the Temple that serves as a shortcut for you to reach the Sky Troopa Course and eventually Bean Valley so be sure to remember that after you’re done in Monstro Town. For now, head towards the first house past the welcome sign to take you to Monstermama’s House.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Monstermama House<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n\n\n\nGo inside the House and speak with the old lady inside. She introduces herself as Monstermama and talks to you about the town. During the cutscene, Mario asks about the Star Piece sighting in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n\n\n\nUpstairs, You will find a Star Slap, Pandorite and the Alley Rat that gave you directions to Monstro Town back in Lands End and Belome Temple. Interact with the Star Slap first to confirm that it isn’t the missing Star Piece. The monster will do a little dance similar to the Star Egg dance. After interacting with the Star Slap, speak to the rest of the monsters in the room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Secret Treasure Chest Tallier<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n\n\n\nThe Pandorite keeps track of how many hidden treasure chests\/surprise box you have collected throughout the game. If you’re planning on getting all of the hidden chests, You should visit from time to time to see your progress. There are 39 hidden chests around the world and you should note that you don’t receive any reward for getting all of them besides obtaining the loot inside the chests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you go to Rose Town after speaking with the Alley Rat, the Quest aid will give you hints on how to get the fertilizer which is 1 of 2 key items for you to get the Lazy shell which is the most powerful attack item for Mario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unlocking Bean Valley<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n\n\n\nA short cutscene plays where Mario explains that he is looking for a Star Piece and not a Star. Monstermama tells him that they haven’t heard anything about a Star Piece and that it probably isn’t in the ground but up in the sky. She adds that she knows of a secret passage to the Sky that can be accessed in Bean Valley and promises to help you get there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n\n\n\nShe calls the Sky Troopas and asks them to guide you to the entrance of Bean Valley. The Sky Troopas agree and promise to wait for you at the cliff in the desert area of Lands End which you will find out later to be the Sky Troopa Course where most of the Troopas do their training. After speaking with Monstermama, head outside and enter the next room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Chow’s House<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n\n\n\nThe next house belongs to a friendly Chow who challenges you to do a minimum of 30 consecutive jumps in battle. He also keeps track of how many consecutive jumps you have made throughout the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He thinks that the neighbor is obsessed about a Shiny Rock which resembles a crystal and that he’s seen it somewhere before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After speaking with the plant, head on out and investigate the house next door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Culex Boss Room<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n\n\n\nThe house next door is actually Culex’s Boos Room, the Secret Boss in<\/a> <\/a>Super Mario Rpg.<\/a> The room is protected by a barrier that won’t let you pass through unless you have the Shiny Stone with you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n\n\n\nA short cutscene plays as soon as you enter Monstro Town’s item shop. The Goomba shop owner speaks with Bowser in your group before he sells you his items. You learn that after Smithy took over the castle, Goomba went AWOL and left Bowser’s Army to settle down in Monstro Town. He also introduced his kids to the party who happen to be Goomba triplets who sells special mushrooms for you to purchase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n\n\n\nTalking to the triplets will let you purchase Special mushrooms in the game. This is one of the overlooked items in Super Mario RPG since they look like regular mushrooms but with an added morph effect when used. After purchasing the necessary items and equipment, head back out and proceed to the next house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
3 Musty Fears Room<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n\n\n\nInteracting with the light switch at the far right side of the room will trigger the “Find the Flag” mini-game. The 3 Musty Fears are composed of a Greaper, Big Boo and Dry Bones who appears before you as you sleep and informs you that they have hidden 3 flags around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As soon as you wake up, Head on out and go up the steps towards Jinx’s Dojo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jinx’s Dojo<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n\n\n\nAnother cutscene plays as soon as Mario enters the Dojo. Bowser and Jagger will have a conversation where Jagger tells him that He has begun studying under Sensei Jinx to make himself stronger to face Smithy. After the cutscene, Mario has the option to challenge Jagger into a fight and then later on challenge Jinx who rewards you with the Jinx Belt after defeating him 3 times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n\n\n\nThere are 2 ways for us to reach the entrance to Bean Valley which is located at the Sky Troopa Course in Lands End.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 1st one is to head back to the trampoline and jump on it to take you back to Belome Temple and retrace your steps back to the Sky Troopa Course and take the exit at the top of the cliff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
